Sermorelin
Encourages your pituitary gland to naturally produce growth hormone, supporting long-term energy, recovery, and performance.

What is Sermorelin?
Sermorelin encourages your pituitary gland to naturally release growth hormone, supporting long-term recovery and overall wellness.
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides are a category of peptides designed to stimulate the body’s natural release of growth hormone. These peptides are commonly used in performance, recovery, and anti-aging programs to support recovery, body composition, and overall physical function.
Sermorelin is a synthetic version of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), the signal the brain uses to prompt the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. Because it works upstream of the pituitary, it is thought to preserve the body's own feedback loops rather than supplying growth hormone directly. Sermorelin was formerly FDA-approved as a diagnostic agent and for growth hormone deficiency in children, but that product was discontinued and sermorelin is not currently FDA-approved for any use. It is given as a subcutaneous injection, and because no sermorelin product is currently FDA-approved, its use for adult recovery, energy, or body composition sits outside any approved indication. Research into its long-term effects is ongoing.
As we age, many natural biological processes become less efficient. Peptide therapy is designed to help support and optimize those systems.
Rx2BFIT does not dispense a branded or FDA-approved sermorelin product, and it does not use a compounding pharmacy. The sermorelin used at the practice comes from a U.S.-based supplier whose batches are tested by an independent laboratory for identity and purity, with a certificate of analysis on file, and it is reconstituted in the office under Dr. Patel's supervision. It is not an FDA-approved medication. Dr. Patel reviews that, along with the known risks, the potential side effects, and the limits of the evidence, before anyone starts.
A consultation is required to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

What this may help support
Improved energy and stamina
Whether you're an athlete, an active professional, or simply want to feel stronger and more energized, Rx2BFIT offers physician-guided therapies designed to optimize your body's natural recovery and performance.
Recovery and muscle repair
Recovery is where your body adapts, repairs, and grows stronger. Without adequate recovery, even the best training program can lead to fatigue, stalled progress, and increased risk of injury.
Healthy aging and wellness support
As the body ages, recovery, energy production, and tissue repair naturally slow down. Certain peptide therapies may help support healthier aging and long-term function when paired with proper lifestyle habits and medical oversight.
Fat metabolism and body composition support
The goal is not just aesthetics. It is improving how your body functions and recovers over time.
Am I a candidate for Sermorelin?

Want support maintaining strength and body composition
Prefer a structured, physician-guided approach
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be an athlete to benefit from these treatments?
No. Many of our patients are active adults who simply want more energy, improved recovery, better sleep, or support maintaining muscle and mobility as they age.
How soon will I notice results?
Results vary depending on the treatment and your individual goals. Some patients notice improvements in energy and recovery within a few weeks, while changes in body composition and performance typically develop over several months.
Are these treatments medically supervised?
Absolutely. Every therapy at Rx2BFIT is prescribed and monitored by Dr. Bhavesh Patel to ensure your treatment is safe, appropriate, and aligned with your health goals.
Are these treatments only for older adults?
No. Healthy aging begins long before retirement. Many adults in their 30s, 40s, and 50s choose wellness therapies to stay ahead of age-related changes and maintain optimal health.
How do I get started?
Start with an assessment. This allows Dr. Patel to evaluate your health, understand your goals, and build a personalized plan for weight loss, performance, and long-term health.
What monitoring does this peptide need?
Growth hormone releasing peptides raise IGF-1, so Dr. Patel checks an IGF-1 level along with the standard screening labs before you start and repeats it as part of your monitoring labs about every six months. Recent labs from your own doctor can be used if they are within six months.
How often is it injected?
Every peptide has its own schedule. Some are daily, some are daily for a month followed by two weeks off, and some are once every two weeks or once a month. You get the exact schedule for your peptide in writing when Dr. Patel clears you to start, after the consultation and labs.

Sermorelin vs. HGH: What Is the Difference?
