NAD+
A naturally occurring coenzyme that plays a vital role in cellular energy production, mental clarity, metabolism, and recovery.

What is NAD+?
NAD+ is a naturally occurring coenzyme found in every cell of the body. It plays a critical role in energy production, cellular repair, metabolism, and cognitive function.
NAD+ is one of the body's most important coenzymes. Natural NAD+ levels decline with age, making it an important component of many longevity-focused wellness programs.
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is involved in hundreds of metabolic reactions, including the ones mitochondria use to turn nutrients into usable energy and the ones cells use to repair DNA. At Rx2BFIT it is given by injection, not as an IV infusion, and it is also available as oral precursors such as nicotinamide riboside. NAD+ therapy is not FDA-approved for any indication, and research into its effects on energy, cognition, and aging in healthy adults is ongoing.
Levels naturally decline with age, which may impact energy, recovery, and overall wellness.
Rx2BFIT does not dispense a branded or FDA-approved NAD+ product, and it does not use a compounding pharmacy. The NAD+ used at the practice comes from a U.S.-based supplier whose batches are tested by an independent laboratory for identity and purity, with a certificate of analysis on file, and it is reconstituted in the office under Dr. Patel's supervision. It is not an FDA-approved medication. Dr. Patel reviews that, along with the known risks, the potential side effects, and the limits of the evidence, before anyone starts.
A consultation is required to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
NAD+ support may help with:
- Energy production
- Mental clarity and focus
- Recovery and cellular repair
- Healthy aging support
- Overall metabolic function

What this may help support
Energy production
Many therapies offered at Rx2BFIT are designed to support healthy cellular function, metabolism, and overall vitality, which may contribute to improved energy and wellness when combined with healthy lifestyle habits.
Mental clarity and focus
NAD+ takes part in the metabolic reactions that fuel brain cells, and supporting NAD+ availability is thought to play a role in mental clarity and focus. Research in this area is ongoing.
Recovery and cellular repair
As we age, our bodies naturally experience changes in metabolism, energy production, recovery, skin health, and hormone activity. While these changes are normal, they don't have to define how you feel.
Healthy aging support
Healthy aging isn't about turning back time, it's about making the most of the years ahead.
