Healthy Aging & Longevity

You notice it in small ways first. Your energy runs out earlier in the day, a hard workout takes longer to recover from, and your skin does not bounce back the way it used to. These changes are a normal part of getting older, but they do not have to define how you feel. Rx2BFIT builds physician-guided wellness plans meant to help your body keep performing well in the years ahead.

What’s going on?

Aging is not one process. It is several slow shifts happening at once. Growth hormone output falls steadily through adult life, mostly because the pulses released during sleep get smaller. Skin collagen declines gradually too, and faster with sun exposure, smoking, and in the first years after menopause. Metabolism, energy production, and recovery all change along the way.

NAD+ is part of the same picture. It is a coenzyme found in every cell, and it does two jobs: it helps turn food into usable energy, and it fuels the enzymes that repair DNA. Human studies have found lower NAD+ with age in skin, brain, and muscle, although those studies are small and the drop looks more modest than advertising tends to claim. Our article on whether NAD+ declines with age walks through what has and has not been shown.

How you live matters as much as your birth year. In one study, older adults who exercised regularly had muscle NAD+ levels close to those of young adults. Daily sun protection and not smoking have the best evidence for protecting skin collagen. That is why a healthy aging plan starts with movement, sleep, nutrition, and skin protection, and treats any therapy as support for those habits, not a replacement for them.

No two people age the same way. The free assessment with Dr. Patel looks at your health history, your lifestyle, and what you want to feel different, then builds the plan around that.

Energy, recovery, and skin: what each therapy is for

NAD+ therapy aims to support the coenzyme your cells rely on for energy production and repair. It is a common part of longevity-focused wellness programs, and it may help support energy, mental clarity, and recovery. The research is still developing: studies show that NAD+ levels can be raised, but controlled trials have not yet shown that doing so reliably improves energy or function in healthy adults.

Sermorelin works on the growth hormone side. It is a short peptide that signals your pituitary gland to release its own growth hormone in a brief pulse, which keeps the body's feedback controls in place. It is not growth hormone itself. In small studies of older adults it raised growth hormone and IGF-1, with modest changes in lean mass and skin thickness over several months.

GHK-Cu is a copper-binding peptide that occurs naturally in human plasma. In laboratory studies it acts on the cells that build and remodel connective tissue, which is why it is used to support collagen, skin firmness, and hair health. Most of the human evidence comes from small studies of skin creams, so expectations for it should stay measured.

Glow Blend is our physician-curated wellness blend, designed to nourish the body from within by supporting collagen production, healthy skin, stronger hair, and resilient nails. Hair and nails grow slowly, so any change there is gradual and varies from person to person.

Deciding where to start

The best starting point is whatever bothers you most. If your energy is not what it used to be, the conversation usually begins with NAD+ or sermorelin. If the changes you notice are in your skin, hair, or nails, it begins with GHK-Cu or Glow Blend. Many patients are in their 30s, 40s, and 50s and simply want to stay ahead of age-related changes, and that is a reasonable goal to bring to a consultation.

It helps to be clear about what these therapies are. None of them is FDA approved for aging. NAD+, sermorelin, and GHK-Cu are not FDA-approved products; what Rx2BFIT uses comes from a U.S.-based supplier whose batches are independently tested for identity and purity, with a certificate of analysis on file, not from a compounding pharmacy. No treatment has been shown to slow aging itself. What they may do is support specific things you can feel or measure. Timelines are slow. In sermorelin studies, hormone levels responded within about two weeks, but changes in body composition took three to six months and were modest. Skin changes are measured in months as well.

There are limits and cautions too. Long-term safety data are thin for all of these therapies. Because GHK-Cu contains copper, it calls for caution in people with copper-handling disorders such as Wilson disease, significant liver disease, or a history of cancer. Sermorelin is prohibited in drug-tested sport. Sorting out what is appropriate for you is what the medical evaluation is for, and as your needs change over time, your plan can be adjusted.

A consultation is required to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
