Dr. Bhavesh Patel, D.O.
Founder, Internal Medicine Physician
Dr. Patel is a board-certified internal medicine physician with more than twenty years in primary care and hospital medicine. He trained as an osteopathic physician, completed his residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, and served as an active-duty Army flight surgeon before settling in San Diego in 2007. He still practices there: telehealth and evening hospital shifts with Kaiser, and a concierge primary care practice of his own.
Rx2BFIT grew out of that concierge work. Patients kept arriving with GLP-1 medications and peptides they had ordered online, with no one experienced watching over them. He built this practice so that people in the Artesia area, and anywhere in California by telehealth, could get the same medications with a physician actually in the room.
The D.O. training shapes how he works. Osteopathic medicine treats the person as a whole and takes the body's own capacity to heal seriously, which is why a visit here covers sleep, food, training, and stress alongside any prescription. He is Precision Nutrition certified, trains every day, and will tell you that nutrition is at least eighty percent of the result.
He credits a modest upbringing and his Indian heritage for the way he practices: give everyone a fair chance, listen, and treat people with respect. There is no team of providers here. Dr. Patel does every consultation and every follow-up himself.
A real history and physical, then the labs
Every plan starts the way he was trained to start: a thorough history, an exam, and screening labs (A1c, lipids, thyroid, and a metabolic panel) before anything is prescribed. Recent labs from your own doctor are welcome.
The right treatment, or an honest no
He checks whether there is a real indication, screens for the conditions that rule a medication out, and tells you plainly if a treatment is not right for you.
Follow-up he handles himself
Check-ins in the office or by video, monitoring labs about every six months, and dose changes made by the physician who prescribed them.
